COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - The Collier County Tourist Development Council is meeting to discuss a mandatory mask ordinance on Wednesday.
Officials will be discussing whether masks should be required in public areas and inside businesses in Collier County. They will also be discussing whether a mask mandate would promote tourism. The Tourist Development Council can only make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, they will not be making a decision on mandating masks at this meeting.
The meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers, on the third floor of the Collier County Government Center.
The meeting is a hybrid-remote meeting, meaning some board members may be appearing electronically with staff present in person.
The public may attend electronically or in person.
Anyone who would like to participate in person must complete and submit a speaker form before the beginning of the discussion about the item. Anyone who would like to participate remotely must complete and submit an online speaker registration form.
