City Council Seeking Clarity From the State of Florida Regarding Senate Bill 250
Senate Bill 250 became law in June 2023 with its’ intent to assist hurricane relief efforts. However, a certain provision renders null and void any and all local land use regulations passed since Hurricane Ian. Without clarification from the State this could very well preempt local ordinances specifically designed to build resiliency and provide other support of resident values and compliance with Comprehensive Plans.
