For those who weren’t able to attend the Planning Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, here’s a recap: About 30 residents were in attendance and their voices were heard! A few people spoke (including three CPN members) who requested the PAB approve only the mandated Florida statutes required for the Comprehensive Plan by September and then go back to the drawing board and get public opinion before passing any additional amendments to the Vision and the Comprehensive Plan.
This is a big win for all Naples residents!!! But let’s not take our foot off the gas! Now is time for you to get involved and share your opinion on the direction you want to see Naples moving in. We will be suggesting some processes for getting the community involved (online surveys, town hall meetings, etc.) and will keep you apprised so you can be on the lookout for opportunities to express your opinions.
In the meantime, thank you to everyone who attended today’s meeting and to all who have supported us. It was indeed a group effort and with your help, we’re moving in the right direction!
